A quarterly of long-form criticism about how story-driven games are built, and about the point in the second half where a plot either holds or stops holding.
This quarterly measures intervals in games and measures nothing at all about its readers. The sections below set out the tracking, storage and profiling that were excluded on purpose when the site was built.
None is gathered. The site has no accounts, no profiles, no comment facility and no input field of any description. Nothing here can receive a name, a number, an address of any kind or a message, so no such information can arrive or be retained.
No cookie is set and nothing is written to local storage, session storage or any comparable mechanism. A consent banner would have nothing to obtain consent for. Your browser will cache the stylesheet, the small script and the images so a second visit renders faster, and that cache is entirely yours.
No analytics package, tag manager, heat map, session recorder or social pixel appears in these pages. I run no measurement of my own and embed none belonging to anyone else. The consequence is that I do not know which articles are read, and I prefer that to the alternative.
No advertisement is displayed, no advertising network is contacted, no link carries a tracking parameter and no article is paid for. Reading a piece about act structure contributes to no commercial profile, because nothing on this site is capable of contributing to one.
Every file needed to render these pages comes from this domain: the stylesheet, the script, every illustration and photograph, the crest and the favicon. No font service, script library, embedded player, comment platform or media host is used, so loading a page generates no request to any other party.
The web server delivering these files may keep ordinary technical records of a request: which file, when, with which status code, and a truncated network address. That is a feature of hosting rather than an editorial choice, is never associated with an identity, is not analysed for behaviour, and is discarded after a short period.
Articles occasionally link to writing published elsewhere. Those sites have their own privacy arrangements, which I neither control nor audit, and which govern your visit from the moment you follow the link rather than while you remain here.
This is a publication of criticism intended for a general adult readership. Since no personal data is collected from any visitor at all, none is collected from minors, and no age-dependent processing takes place.
Data protection law provides rights of access, rectification and erasure over personal data held about you. None is held here, so there is nothing to disclose, amend or delete. This follows from how the site was constructed rather than from a policy that might later be relaxed.
Should this quarterly ever introduce something that processes personal information, this notice will be rewritten before that feature is published, and the change will be described in plain terms rather than folded quietly into a new revision date.
